ANDY WARHOL: THIRTY ARE BETTER THAN ONE / by edilian heather

This amazing exhibition showcasing over 100 works by Andy Warhol within its East Village walls is a must-see for any art lover. Drawn almost entirely from The Brant Collection’s personal stash, the exhibition examines Warhol’s immeasurable contribution to art, while exploring his own relationship with the art establishment and oversaturation of media within contemporary society.

The exhibition, called "Thirty Are Better Than One," gets its name from a 1963 piece featuring 30 scaled-down, silk-screened images of Leonardo Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa."

We checked out this exhibit mid-May, and it was 3 levels of various stages of Andy’s artistry from the early 60’s up until his death in 1987. The space was large and which we felt was perfect for the way they displayed his artwork. We had a great time taking pictures of the art listed above and pictures of us, which we would say is our favorite part. We would definitely recommend this exhibit to art lovers / Warhol Fans or pretty much anyone! Tickets are about $21 and can be purchased here.

The works will be on display until only July 30th, 2023 so make sure you stop by soon!
